  • CRASE Train-the-Trainer is always available online for free at https://elearning.alerrt.org.

If you don’t already have an account you can set one up at https://alerrt.org/register. If your organization isn’t listed under the Agency section, you can select Self Sponsor, or if you would like it added you can send us the name and physical address to include it in our system.

  • Anyone wanting to take the CRASE Train-the-Trainer course is welcome to. You do not need to be a first responder to become CRASE certified.

  • ALERRT no longer schedules in person CRASE trainings since it is now available online.

If you prefer an in person training, we always suggest reaching out to your local law enforcement agency to see if they have CRASE trained staff that can put together a training for you.

  • Yes. Once you become a CRASE certified instructor and have access to the training materials via your ALERRT.org account, you may use them to best fit your internal training needs.

  • You may edit the given PowerPoint to best fit your audience. For example, you wouldn’t present the information to a group of adults at work the same as you would to elementary students.

  • The Avoid | Deny | Defend™ program provides guidance through concepts that align with many current corporate and private sector procedures such as avoiding dangerous situations. Corporate leaders have chosen Avoid | Deny | Defend™ because they don't believe that some of the other training videos are the most appropriate to show employees due to graphic messaging content and recommendation to “fight.” Avoid | Deny | Defend™ addresses a variety of locations including small offices, large rooms, and open retail store environment.

  • The campaign is designed to provide all civilians with knowledge that will empower and instill confidence to survive an active shooter attack whether at work, church, the movie theater or anywhere else they may be. It is not intended to frighten, but to empower and strengthen the ability to survive.

Avoid | Deny | Defend™ is designed as an awareness tool that will empower and instill confidence to civilians of all ages and abilities, helping them understand that “What You Do Matters™” in an active shooter event.

  • ALERRT receives a report from TEEX with student completion and contact information on a bi-weekly basis. It then takes a minimum of a week for ALERRT to process that list.

Once ALERRT has received and processed your information, an account will be setup for you on the ALERRT Instructor Portal (if you do not already have one). You will receive an email notification on how to access the instructor materials and ALERRT certificate once your account is ready.

If it has been over this time since you completed the course, or you are needing the materials expedited for an upcoming training, please email your TEEX completion certificate to help@alerrt.org
